In cold weather, operate the fan in the slow speed, Reverse direction. his creates a gentle updraft, which recirculates the hot air trapped at the ceiling to provide even, comfortable heat throughout the room. The recirculation of warm air allows you to lower the room's thermostat setting, resulting in energy savings of 30% or more.
In a given room temperature of 20-24 degree celsius, each degree increase/decrease corresponds to 6% of your heating costs. Cinsidering an 18 degree average temperature at floor level and 27 degree temperature at ceiling level, your fan will recirculate the air to reach a 22 degree room temperature.
